I established Nottingham-based Mariposa Therapeutic Services after making the choice to work independently. I consider it important, that clients can access the type of therapeutic support that helps enable them to achieve their goals.

I appreciate that contacting a Therapist to seek help can be a daunting experience, please be assured that you will be treated with respect and sensitivity in a confidential setting.

Prior to working independently, I worked as a Trauma Practitioner and Manager in a specialised trauma service. I supported children and young people following a disclosure of sexual abuse and adult survivors of child sexual abuse. I held a lead role in advocacy, ensuring that the voice of the client was heard and that the impact of child sexual abuse was understood by the client themselves, within their family network and multi-agency settings.

I have a background in secondary education and vast experience working with the assessment and support of vulnerable children and young people who display challenging, emotional, behavioural, social and safeguarding concerns.

I am committed to on-going professional development and have Diplomas in Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy, and Parks Inner Child Therapy (PICT) – a Trauma and Abuse Specialist Skills Diploma, and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care in Children and Young People’s Services.
